Earlier this month, I had the absolute joy of returning to The Sixpence for one of the most fun events of the season: Stupid Cupid 26: Club Cupid, their 4th annual Galentine’s Day Luxury Brunch. If you’ve never experienced this event, imagine a full-on dreamworld brunch with signature cocktails and mocktails, elaborate photo spaces, boutique shopping, and so many delicious sweets and treats all under one (very chic) roof. This year’s theme brought “the best of prep” to life, drawing inspiration from bougie Northeast summer camps and retro Miami beach clubs...think pink, green, and white palettes, stripes, tropical touches, feathers and sparkle, all finished with plenty of hearts and bows.

From the moment guests arrived, the energy was high and the outfits were so fun. Unlike weddings where formalwear tends to lean toward darker, muted tones, this event was bursting with color, textures, sequins, feathers, and the most incredible statement pieces. As a live illustrator, that’s basically my Super Bowl.

Throughout the brunch, attendees visited my station for personalized 5"x7" illustrations. Some opted for individual portraits, while others gathered their besties for group illustrations, each one a tangible keepsake from the day. I love offering something guests can take home that won’t get tossed aside: artwork that captures their personality, their look, and the memories they made together.

Jennifer Dihel, a live illustrator, works on creating illustrations at the event. She has several illustrations in front of her that she's working on at the same time.

Stupid Cupid was such a joy to illustrate at, and I’m already counting down to my next event at the gorgeous Sixpence. If you have a celebration on the horizon and want to create a personalized, tangible takeaway for your guests, let’s start planning.
